Safety is a top concern for our race committee. The race is prepared with lead and trail vehicles, volunteers at each water station prepared to make emergency telephone calls if needed, hundreds of race supporters along the course, and the following additional services:

Ambulance Service


Emergency ambulance service is provided by local volunteer fire departments from Lewiston, Youngstown and Ransomville. In the event of an injury or emergency, call 911 for service.

First Aid Station & EMT

Youngstown and Ransomville Volunteer Fire Departments each have an ambulance and EMT on location at the finish line. Mount St. Mary’s Hospital provides medical services and first-aid at the finish line.

Post Race Party Security

Security is present at the park to police the post-race party.
