The half marathon course runs through the charming, historic Villages of Lewiston and Youngstown along scenic River Road. At the mouth of the Niagara River, you will find yourself inside Fort Niagara State Park approaching Historic Old Fort Niagara. Here you will catch a glimpse of the lighthouse, fort compound, and the famous French Castle. Runners will head east along Fort Niagara Beach overlooking Lake Ontario before ending up on Lake Road where they will enjoy picturesque views of the lake on their way to Four Mile State Park. The final stretch through the campground will have family, friends and campers cheering you on to the finish line at Porter-on-the-Lake Park.

The course is fast and flat, with a quick downhill start. All roads are asphalt, brick, or concrete with the exception of Fort Niagara, which has some loose gravel. Aside from a few small dips in the road, there is a slight downhill grade from start to finish. The majority of the course will be closed to traffic during the race. During the first two miles through the Village of Lewiston, Center Street will be closed to traffic until runners reach River Road. Once on River Road, traffic will be limited to emergency vehicles all the way to Fort Niagara. There will be numerous police and fire officials along with Hospice race volunteers throughout the course and at all major intersections. Traffic will be limited, but as in all races of this size, there are going to be some vehicles that somehow manage to get on the course. Runners are advised to use caution and be alert at all times throughout the race!

(Sorry, no bikes or jogging strollers are allowed on the course.)
